All plaques are funded through Sponsors and fundraising. Sponsorship is welcome for any amount.

Sponsors normally nominate a specific plaque. You can sponsor a plaque for your own building/site, or for any other site, with the owner’s agreement.

Plaques are organised by our local historical branches throughout New Zealand.

Each plaque, including historical research, liaison with building owners, design, manufacture and installation, costs up to $2,000 plus GST. This is a one-off cost and HPA will manage the website at its own cost as well as promoting the project.

Plinths: Where needed, are additional however most plaques are fixed to an exterior building wall.
